Fashion for Faison

On November 14th, 2024, I had the privilege of walking in the fashion show for the Wine, Women, & Shoes fundraising event by the Faison Center.

The Faison Center in Richmond, VA, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing services and support for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. The center aims to improve the quality of life for individuals and their families while promoting inclusion and community involvement.

The Wine, Women & Shoes event at the Faison Center in Richmond, VA, is an annual fundraising event designed to support the center’s programs for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. This stylish and fun event typically features wine tastings, a fashion show, and exclusive shopping opportunities, all aimed at raising funds and awareness for the center’s mission. Attendees, including influential women from the community, enjoy an evening of entertainment, elegant fashion, and philanthropy, with the proceeds going directly to support the Faison Center’s services, including educational programs, therapy, and family support initiatives. The event combines luxury, socializing, and charitable giving to make a lasting impact on the lives of those served by the center.

VCUArts had the honor of hosting the grand finale fashion show for the event, and I was thrilled to be invited to participate as a model. This opportunity was especially meaningful to me, as it allowed me to combine my passion for fashion with my dedication to serving others and giving back to my community—values that I hold deeply. Walking in the show was an incredible experience that showcased the power of creativity and collaboration.
